Executive Vice President, Sales

Chris Hannan serves as Executive Vice President, Sales Integration, at WME/IMG, joining the company in November 2016. In his new role with WME/IMG, Global Partnerships division, Chris is tasked with creating revenue streams and marketing opportunities for all WME/IMG properties including UFC and the non-scripted television packaging business. Long range plans for this role include building a dedicated branded content and product integration division at WME/IMG. Hannan is based at WME/IMG’s Beverly Hills headquarters and reports to Lou Koskovolis, Head of Sponsorship & Sales for WME/IMG, Global Partnerships. 


Prior to joining WME/IMG, Chris worked at FOX Sports for 19-years in a variety of roles including his last post of Executive Vice President, Communications and Integration.  Chris was responsible for the development of key strategic communications initiatives and cross-platform efforts on behalf of FOX Sports’ portfolio of businesses. Hannan was tasked with maximizing and integrating communications support for many of the biggest events on the FOX Sports programming calendar, including college football, the World Series, the Daytona 500, the NFL and the Super Bowl. Hannan was instrumental in the strategic plans and collective efforts across divisions in FOX Sports widely successful 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. He also oversaw FOX Sports Supports, managing the social impact and non-profit efforts for the company.

Hannan also served in a host of marketing roles during his career at FOX Sports. He oversaw marketing for FOX Sports Regional Networks, where he provided support for advertising sales, on-air promotions, and consumer marketing across the company’s portfolio of leading owned-and-operated regional sports networks.  Hannan was also was instrumental in the launch of FOX Sports 1 and creating a social media division for FOX Sports digital.

After joining Fox Sports in 1997, Hannan served in roles of increasing responsibility.  He began as a writer and producer for on-air promotions for FOX Sports Net before being promoted to senior producer the following year.  He was named vice president, on-air promotions in June 2002 and senior vice president of marketing in 2008.

One of Hannan’s most significant achievements was the development of FOX Sports University, a curriculum-based partnership with major universities creating classes for students to gain real-world marketing, communications, and business experience. By the fall of 2016, the program had expanded to 38 universities across the country and has won multiple industry awards.

Hannan has been honored for his work in sports media and marketing on numerous occasions.  He has won over 25 Promax, Telly, and Addy awards for his work with FOX Sports.  In 2012, he was named to Sports Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 list and recognized as one of the rising stars in the sports industry under the age of 40.

Hannan attended Syracuse University in New York, where he graduated with a B.S. in Speech Communications. He is also a member of the Syracuse University Athletic Advisory Board.  Hannan remains an active member in the local community, serving as the Secretary of Merging Vets & Players (MVP) Board of Directors, and a board member for the Positive Coaching Alliance LA Chapter, U.S. Soccer Federation Leadership Council, and the After-School All-Stars Board of Directors.
